The Greater China team develops and manages world-class communication strategies to support Apple’s business in country. We are currently seeking a Data Strategist who brings equal parts analytical rigor and cultural intuition. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping how data informs our social storytelling — from weekly and monthly performance reports, competitor benchmarking, and content diagnostics, to social listening, sentiment tracking, and best practice sharing across platforms.
You’ll work closely with content planning, production, media and PR teams to provide insight that elevates planning, strengthens community engagement, and ensures our presence on China’s social platforms is informed, impactful, and resilient. Description:
This culturally fluent, strategically minded data strategist should thrive on collaboration and multitasking, navigate fast-moving priorities with clarity, partner closely across teams, and turn complex data into actionable insights that elevate storytelling at every touchpoint.
– Partner with the content planner to translate insights into actionable content recommendations and platform strategy.
– Support paid media planning and evaluation by providing audience data, content performance trends, and campaign analysis.
– Work closely with agencies to monitor sentiment and engagement supporting community health, identifying early signs of potential risks, and contributing to moderation guidelines.
– Lead social listening efforts, surfacing relevant cultural conversations, creator trends, and brand mentions in real time.
– Build and share regular insight reports with internal partners to foster learning and innovation.
– Develop and maintain weekly and monthly performance reports across key social platforms, including organic and paid content.
– Conduct competitor benchmarking and trend tracking to identify emerging behaviors, platform shifts, and creative best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in data strategy, digital insights, or social media analytics, ideally within a digital agency or brand environment.
Strong knowledge of China’s social media ecosystem and familiarity with platform data tools and key metrics.
Hands-on experience with social listening tools and performance tracking dashboards.
Ability to distill data into clear, compelling narratives that inform creative and strategic decisions.
Bilingual in Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, marketing, statistics, sociology, digital media, or a related field.
Experience working alongside content, paid media, and PR teams to translate data into strategy.
Understanding of media buying principles and audience targeting frameworks.
Familiarity with influencer tracking and campaign performance metrics.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple reporting timelines.
Self-starter with a collaborative spirit, intellectual curiosity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Skilled at presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders, with a focus on clarity, relevance, and strategic impact.
